CyberAfrica Magazine at 10 institutes a Pan-African Digital Award.

As part of activities to mark 10th anniversary, CyberAfrica, a Pan-African Information and Communications Technology magazine has instituted a ‘Pan-African Digital Economy Award’, which is targeted at celebrating digital innovations across all sectors on the countinent.

Disclosing this in a short statement in Abuja, the Managing Editor of CyberAfrica magazine, tv and online Mr. Hillary Damisah, said the novel award, which is schedule to hold 19 December 2021 at the prestigious orientalist hotel Lekki lagos , will have categories covering the entire sectors that make up the Information and Communications Technology ecosystem.

“While we want to mark CyberAfrica Magazine @10, we also want to celebrate the huge digital transformation that has taken place across Africa, where virtually every sector of the economy is being driven by digital tools,” he said.

According to him, the essence of the ‘Pan-African Digital Award’ is to celebrate the digital transformation across africa and Africans. The award categories are cyber security, egovernance, startups, innovation, policy , infrastructure, finance and administration. The award he said will parade the best persons and organizations that are transforming africa.

The CyberAfrica Magazine is published by the Centre for Cyber Awareness and Development (CECAD), a non for profit and non-governmental organization with focus for promoting cyber responsibility through advocacy, training and innovation. According to the executive director of Cecad Mojisola Alabi, cyber africa is AFRICAs first magazine to focus on cyber issues a decade ago and the event is a two in one show. First the forum called cyber africa forum with a theme building a new africa with digital knowledge, skills and innovation. According to Moji the forum will discuss infrastructure, security, policy and governance. This is in addition to the Cyber africa digital economy award.
