Earlier today at Glass House, Kogi Government House, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo swore in Commissioners and other state officials appointed during his inauguration.
The commissioners are:

- Haj. Fatima Momoh, Commissioner for Women Affairs
- Mr. Abanika Taye, Commissioner for Urban Development and Housing
- Mohammed Muktar Shuaibu, Commissioner for Commerce and Industry

Governor Ododo emphasized the significance of their roles, urging them to serve in the interest of the state, the party, and to do so bearing in mind the trust the he have in them to serve the people in utmost sincerity, dedication and in spirit of service. He highlighted the confidence placed in them to build upon established legacies.
In a historic move for Kogi Governance, Governor Ododo stressed the implementation of strict Performance Evaluation, leaving no room for laxity. This signals a commitment to accountability and excellence in the government.
Furthermore, the Governor mandated Commissioners to prioritize grassroots harmonization. He underlined the idea that servant leaders perform best when they actively engage and include everyone. This emphasis on inclusivity aligns with the vision for effective and people-oriented governance.
Governor Ododo assured the people of Kogi State that his tenure would prioritize matters concerning peace, unity, and oneness. He emphasized a commitment to non-discrimination based on tribe, religion, or gender. The Governor made it clear that his government is dedicated to the well-being of the entire population of Kogi State.
