
Ambassador (Chief) Hassiat Ozavize Suleiman, the Special Adviser on Strategic Investment and Liaison with Federal Agencies to the Kogi State Governor and the Alikeju Ejeh Olamaboro, marked the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations in her hometown of Ihima, Okehi Local Government Area, with festivities, community engagements, and words of praise for the present administration in the state.


During her time back home, Ambassador Suleiman paid a courtesy visit to His Excellency, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, where she also paid homage to the immediate past Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello. She expressed joy over the impressive pace of development across the state, especially the improvements in road infrastructure under Governor Ododo’s leadership.

“It is truly heartwarming to see our people moving freely and safely, thanks to the newly paved and constructed roads connecting communities across Kogi and the wider North Central region,” she said. “This administration’s commitment is not just on paper—it is felt by the people. Governor Ododo has earned their trust and admiration through visible, people-oriented projects.”


Also on hand to receive Ambassador Suleiman during her courtesy visit was the First Lady of Kogi State, who warmly welcomed her and expressed appreciation for her continued dedication to the development of the state. As part of her engagements, Ambassador Suleiman also paid a respectful visit to the revered Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, reaffirming her commitment to upholding the cultural values and traditional institutions of the region. In a similar gesture, she visited the palace of the Ohi of Okene, where she and her entourage were graciously received by the Ohi’s wife, who stood in for her husband and conveyed the palace’s blessings and goodwill.
Ambassador Suleiman also hosted an elaborate Eid feast at her Ihima residence, welcoming political associates, loyal supporters, community leaders, and residents. The atmosphere was filled with joy and celebration as guests came together to mark the festive season in unity.
In her address at the gathering, she emphasized the importance of community building, peaceful coexistence, and compassion. “Eid is a time to reflect on our shared humanity and our collective responsibilities. Let us continue to love one another, support one another, and work together to build a safe and secure community,” she urged.
In addition to hosting guests, Ambassador Suleiman honored invitations to various local events, including weddings, traditional gatherings, and community meetings, where she reinforced her connection to the grassroots and reiterated her commitment to inclusive development.
The Eid celebrations in Ihima served not only as a festive occasion but also as an opportunity for the Special Adviser to interact directly with the people, listen to their concerns, and celebrate the gains of the present administration.
