The Convener of Wasiu Issah Network (WIN) and House of Representatives aspirant for the Okehi/Adavi Constituency of Kogi State, Alh. Abdulwasiu Issah has commended Governor Yahaya Bello for a successful outing at the APC National Convention which held yesterday.

Alhaji Wasiu felicitated with the newly elected party officials as well, calling the entire process an exercise in true democracy. He noted that this was a testament to the party’s unity and sense of purpose. He opined that this and many more orderly electoral processes is what citizens should expect during the general election, come 2023.

In his remarks to press reps, Wasiu stated that he was most impressed with the orderliness and peaceful proceedings of all that were in attendance; instances of chaos or conflict were immediately quelled. This, he attributed to the dogged determination of Kogi State’s Governor Yahaya Bello, who served as the chairman of the security subcommittee.

“I must commend and congratulate His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello for a successful and peaceful convention today. Indeed he went over and beyond to see that all security apparatus were deployed to ensure a favorable and peaceful atmosphere for party stalwarts and supporters alike. This is not surprising, as His Excellency has consistently kept the peace and won numerous accolades as the most security conscious Governor in the country. This, more than anything, cements the numerous reasons why he should take on the mantle of President, come 2023,” he said.

Speaking further, the aspirant urged the incoming party officials to toe the line of their predecessors and avoid skirmishes and rancour within the party in order to keep a united APC. He appreciated President Muhammadu Buhari, as well as the prevailing of other elders in the party for keeping the peace up till this moment, and charged party leadership and officials to work in tandem to deliver on the mandate of the party in the coming election.

Signed,
