𝘈𝘯𝘬𝘱𝘒, 𝘍𝘳π˜ͺπ˜₯𝘒𝘺 25𝘡𝘩 𝘍𝘦𝘣𝘳𝘢𝘒𝘳𝘺, 2022

The Chairman of Kogi State Mineral Resources and Environmental Management Committee, Hajia Hassiat Suleiman has charged investors in the Solid Minerals sector to be transparent while conducting their businesses, with a view to innovating ideas for sustainable development through the sector.
The call was made today at the formal opening and commissioning of heavy duty Equipments for Mosra Enerji Limited.

The Chairman, along with other delegation joined the Honorable Minister for Mines and Steel Development, Arc Olamilekan Adegbite who is on a 2-Day working visit to Kogi State, for the ribbon-cutting ceremony.


Also present for the event were Mr. Tunde Ramos, the Managing Director and CEO of MOSRA ENERJI LTD, Mr. Frank Udom, Director of Mines Inspectorate of the Ministry of Mines and Steel Development, the Executive Chairman of Ankpa LGA, traditional Chiefs and others.

In his remarks, Mr. Ramos explained that Mosra Enerji Ltd is a Coal to Power company that will convert mined coal into power. The aim is to contribute 30% of the total electricity needs of the country.
He further stated that at full capacity, they will be able to provide 10,000 direct jobs and another 30,000 indirect jobs to Nigerians.

The Minister lauded the management of the company for the initiative, stating that it is directly in line with FG’s Economic Diversification plan. He extolled the support from the local host community pointing out that it is only when an investor enjoys an enabling environment that business will thrive which will in turn lead to the growth and development of the local communities, not only from signed Community Development Agreements but from social responsibility initiatives as well.

Mosra Enerji Ltd is a an energy company with mining concerns in Ankpa Local Government Area of Kogi State, With MIREMCO being instrumental to the peaceful relations that exists between the company and and its host community through mediation.
