CitationEngr. Yusuff Hussaini was born on March 24th, 1979 into the family of Alhaji Yusuff Enebe the then District Head of Idoji, Okene Local Government Area of Kogi State, Nigeria. He has essentially risen from a humble background under quite limited circumstance to become who he is today.
Yusuff Hussaini got his primary education at Modern Primary School, Birnin Kebbi road Sokoto between 1985 and 1990. He also attended Sultan Atiku Secondary School Sokoto State from 1991 to 1996, then proceeds to Federal University of Technology Minna for his undergraduate degree in Mining Technology and was awarded B.tech Geology and M ining.
From 2006 to 2007, Yusuff Hussaini served the compulsory one year National Youth Service as an administrative officer with Rukuba Barrack, Bassa Local Government, Plateau State. In 2008, he was employed as site Supervisory Engineer by Julius Berger Construction Company where he served as an Earth/Soil Engineer, Compaction Test, Sieve Analysis Test and Concrete Laboratory Test. From 2010, Yusuff Hussaini was again employed by the then Intercontinental Bank Plc. where he successfully served as the relationship officer of the marketing department, Business & Product Development, Data Spooling and report, and loan recoveries.
By 2014, he became the Kogi State President of the National Democratic Elite Forum (NADEF) where he set out and implemented clear vision & strategy for the organization, he also Develop, Enforce and Evaluate the Organizational Policies and Procedures which put the forum on its peak of development. He was able to establish a formidable partnership with other non-governmental organizations across the State. Yusuff Hussaini also served as the Special Assistant to the Honorable Member Representing Mubi South Federal House of Representative, Hon. Abubakar Wambai (NASS) at the 8th National Assembly. He was at the forefront in assisting the Honorable Member in making hard decisions by reviewing the pros and cons.
After the formation of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2013, Engr. Yusuff Hussaini became very instrumental that set a strong hold for the new party in his state and particularly at his own constituency which culminated into his bid to contest for the Federal House of Representative of Okene 1 Constituency in 2016. Although, he eventually stepped down after series of consultation and reconciliation by the party stakeholders of his constituency. In preparation ahead of the 2015 general election, Yusuff Hussaini was engaged by the party to participate in several election observation training and workshops which was organized by West African Network Election Observer (WANEO), Advocacy for Quality Leadership and Health Awareness Foundation and African Centre for Leadership, Strategy and Development.
Engr. Yusuff Hussaini is an ardent follower and lover of His Excellency, Sen. Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and upon the declaration of his presidential ambition, Yussuf Hussaini quickly set up a mobilization team for Asiwaju’s ambition which later metamorphosed into the renowned Tinubu Presidential Ambassadors of Nigeria and Diaspora (TPAND), one of the category “A” and a leading support group that cut across almost the 36 states of the Federation and the FCT that mobilized and campaign through its National, Zonal and State Coordinators during the 2023 Presidential and National Assemblies election. In its attempt to reach out to more Nigerians in support of Asiwaju’s mandate, TPAND also extend its frontiers to Nigerian citizens in Diaspora where over 77 registered members of the support group declared their support and proxy votes for Asiwaju’s mandate.
After its national inauguration where its executives and Board members were inaugurated, the support group swung into action by organizing its first public symposium themed “Reinventing Politics of Inclusiveness in Contemporary Nigeria: The Legacies of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu” that was held at TSG office, Wuse Abuja. The group also embarked on a one-day Voters Education and Sensitization Programme in Collaboration with Voters Education Initiative Support Group at International Women Center, Abuja.
There was also the Tinubu Presidential Ambassadors of Nigeria and Diaspora (TPAND) Training for the Group’s Zonal and State Coordinators. As the convener of the support group, Yusuff Hussaini tirelessly and effortlessly engaged himself and members of the national executives on several activities ahead of the general election that culminated into the victory of All Progressives Congress (APC) at the presidential election. He was responsible for coordinating the Support group and financing the rallies, door to door campaign, meetings, mobilizing voters for registration and collection of voter’s cards.
Engr. Yusuff Hussaini was appointed as a Deputy Director, Diaspora Directorate of the APC Presidential Campaign Council (APC-PCC) in recognition of his commitment and effort toward the Tinubu/Shettima mandate. He was the Directorate’s Representative of Nigerians in Diaspora (African Countries) where tours and campaign was facilitated to some few African Countries before the election. He was instrumental in reaching out to Nigerians abroad to mobilize and encourage family members to vote for Tinubu/Shettima and the APC.
When the role is called for the most outstanding and exceptional change agent, one person whose name will feature prominently is Engr. Yusuff Hussaini. He is a rear and exceptional specie that has outstandingly shows that he is an ivory tower born with man power capacity to serve and lead the humanity. If intellectual distinction, personal industry, integrity and honesty are marks of professional excellence then Engr. Yusuff Hussaini is truly a great man, a man with the powers of making lasting impression on the people he leads, he handles matters that the course of event continually affected by what he did, a man whose contribution to address social, environmental, and economic challenges bedeviling the wellbeing of humanity within Nigeria.
He is a certified member of several Councils and Institutes in Nigeria. He is disciplined personnel with an analytical mind, very humble, simple, hardworking and progressive. He is an accomplished administrator, a manager with capacity, a facilitator of excellence and progress, a visionary and charismatic leader, a man of the people, for the people, the man with listening ears.
Yusuff Hussaini has been conferred with honorable awards and professional labels, which includes: an Associate Member, Chartered Institute of Information and Strategy Management (CIISM), Member Nigerian Mining and Geosciences Society (NMGS). He is also a Member, Council for Nigeria Mining Engineer and Geoscientists (CONMEG), and Member, National Association of Petroleum Exploration (NAPE) etc.
Engr. Yusuf Hussaini is a receipient of several meritorious awards and recognitions from notable organizations and agencies which include “Most Outstanding African CEO 2023 Award” presented by Goodwill Ambassadors Agency. He has also received the “Grassroots Mobilizer 2023 Award” presented by Diaspora Support for Asiwaju (DSA North America). He received “Merit Award of Excellencent Performance & Selfless Services” presented by Tinubu/Shattima Associates and Professional Initiatives for Transformation (TAP-IT). He received the “Most Outstanding State President of NADEF Award” presented by National Democratic Elite Forum (NADEF) National Secretariat. And many other recognitions.
Engr Yussuff Hussaini is well known Philanthropy and a business mogul with diverse business ideas and ethics. He is a seasoned and dynamic businessman, the Founder/CEO of Yuhhab Property and Consult which specializes in Estate Management and Development, as well as property consultancy.
Engr Yusuff Hussaini is happily married and blessed with adorable children.
