Olamaboro, Igala Kingdom: In a grand and culturally significant ceremony, President and convner of Achana Legacy Foundation, Dr. Maryam J. Ogundepo was conferred with the revered chieftaincy title “Omiakele Ejeh” by His Royal Highness, Chief Ujah Sani Simeon the Ejeh Olamaboro of Igala Kingdom, in celebration of his fifth year on the throne. The prestigious event took place at the palace in Olamaboro, marking a momentous occasion that highlighted Dr. Ogundepo’s outstanding contributions to the community.
The title “Omiakele Ejeh” translates to “The Benefactor of the Ejeh,” signifying a deep appreciation for her tireless efforts in promoting healthcare, education, and social welfare of women and children within the Igala Kingdom and beyond. Dr. Ogundepo, an entrepreneur and philanthropist, has long been an advocate for improved social services in the region, as well as championing various charitable initiatives.
