Di Federal Gofment don approve di engagement of four of im Agencies to train 50,000 Non-Graduate N-Power Beneficiaries.

Na for di Federal Executive Council wey hold on Wednesday, na im dem approve say make di National Institute of Transport Technology NITT, Industrial Training Fund ITF, National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism, Hydraulic Equipment Development Institute HEDI train di beneficiaries for 9 months.

Di Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development Sadiya Umar Farouq tok say di ministry dey run di implementation of di National Social Investment Programme (NSIP) in line with im mandate to reduce poverty, and to increase social inclusion and youth empowerment.

“Dis N-Build dey under di N-Power cluster of programmes wey NSIP dey manage and e dey target unemployed non-graduates. Dis proposed training na continuation of N-Build training wey start in 2017 wit all di batch of N-Power trainees.

“Di Ministry don review di delivery process of di N-Build programme so dat we go fit confirm whether e dey helep wit di Job Creation/Poverty Reduction agenda of di Federal Gofment and note di capacity of the four existing professional vocational training Institutes wey di gofment set up with different mandates. Dem use care to choose dis Institutes in line wit di objective of di N-Power and e dey based on di capacity to train, assess, certify and guide candidates so dat dem go fit achieve di National Skills Qualifications (NSQs) of di N-Build Programme”.

The proposed training programme go be three (3)months of In-centre class training, six (6) months for apprenticeship, post Apprenticeship, mentorship with provision of Starter Packs and assessment wey go lead to di award of National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) Certification.

Di N-Build apprenticeship programme go dey coordinate across di 36 States and FCT and centres in almost 350 Local Gofment Areas.

Di National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism go provide professional and technical skills upgrade training programmes for di beneficiaries in Baking, Cooking/ catering, House- keeping and Mixology plus including all areas of Hospitality and Tourism, whether na directly or indirect aspect of hospitality, den, di Industrial Training Fund ITF go train beneficiaries in Electrical, Masonry, Plumbing and Carpentry.

Na di National Institute of Transport Technology NITT go handle di Training Services in Automobile and Agritech Tracks, while di Hydraulic Equipment Development Institute HEDI go empower beneficiaries in welding and Fabrication, Electrical Fittings and Plumbing.
