Di Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development don concluded plans to roll out di Gofment Enterprise and Empowerment Programme GEEP 2.0 for all di 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
Dis na afta di final verification of Phase 1 applicants wey been qualify wey dem select to benefit from small loans ranging from N50,000 to N300,000.

Di Minister Sadiya Umar Farouq tok say all beneficiaries of GEEP 2.0 go collect congratulation and sensitization text message wey go also tell dem say dem don qualify and di message go also sound am well-well say dis empowerment program na loan, no be grant.

“All di beneficiaries wey qualify go soon receive their disbursement alert. We wan also remind all di beneficiaries wey qualify say this na loan wey una go fit pay back without interest. No be grant or free money from gofment oh. Na soft interest-free loan wey una must pay back 9 months”.

Minister Umar Farouq come also announce say di Ministry dey plan rollout di program all around di country, na afta dis part na im dem go start the biodata part.

Dis GEEP 2.0 na loan scheme wey di Federal Gofment design to provide moni and finances wey go fit go round to many poor pipul as well as pipul wey get disability and oda grassroot pipul wey dey really struggle, di scheme dey under dis three main di main schemes: Market Moni, Trader Moni and Farmer Moni.

Trader moni na for youth of between 18-40 years wey no get any means of survival like under-privileged and marginalized youths. Dis scheme go provide loans of N50,000 while Market Moni dey take under-privileged and marginalized women between 18-55 years like Widows, divorcees amongst other vulnerable groups. They get interest-free loans of N50,000 payable within 6-9 months.

Farmer Moni na for Nigerian farmers wit age between 18-55 years wey dey for rural area wey dey operate in di agricultural space. Dem go provide beneficiaries with loans of up to N300,000 for farming input. Dis scheme get 12 months including 3 months moratorium and 9 months repayment period.
